A POEM FOR DEATH

A POEM FOR DEATH

It was you who made words of sympathy

seem like falling rain,

beautiful but useless to me;

not a single soul

could calm the whirlwind within.

Only a man like you,

could make me

hold life so dearly.

I no longer chase

after immortality.

Thank you for teaching me,

how to squeeze the drops of life,

and to taste each one,

ten times and more,

bitter or sweet.

death the man
